Caleb Green, Worship Ministry Director Caleb Green is director of the worship, music and arts department. He also serves as a member of The United States Army Band, “Pershing’s Own.”  Wife: Page Green   Children:  Marcel, Nigel, Eden, Noah, Aaron, Caleb IV, Asia    Favorite worship band:  Brooklyn Tabernacle & Maranatha   How long have I attended Calvary:  Since 1999   Something the average person doesn't know about me:  My girls are the reason I know how to listen, my boys are the reason I want to be the perfect husband and father.  My wife inspired me to be what I am today.  She listened to me talk about my dreams and motivated me to stay the course, because I had every reason to quit.   Favorite Bible verse:  Luke 10:20 "Nevertheless, in this rejoice not, that the spirits are subject unto you; but rejoice that your names are written in heaven."   Personal Interests:  writing music that leads to non-stop praise, hockey, football and basketball (watching)   Strongest point in your ministry:  seeing prayer change the circumstances around without my input   Worst Decision in ministry:  not heeding the Spririt and watching the clock   Most embarrassing moment in ministry:  getting tongue tied on the mic and dropping my drum sticks   General Description:  So serious about things musically. Mendy Bendy, Children's Ministry Director Mendy Bendy, our Children's Ministry Director is a former Prince William County Public School elementary principal with a genuine love for working with children. She holds a B.S. in Early Childhood Education from James Madison University and an M.Ed. with a concentration in Education Administration and Supervision from the University of Virginia. Favorite worship band:  Avalon, Israel Houghton   How long have I attended Calvary:  I grew up at Calvary as a teenager - you guess the number of years!  After living in different places in the state, I returned in 1991.   Something the average person doesn't know about me:  Although I am a longtime Virginia resident, I have had the pleasure of visiting 43 of our great states.   Favorite Bible verse:  Proverbs 3:5-6  "Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding.  In all your ways acknowledge Him and He will direct your paths."    Personal Interests:  Music, most sporting events, and traveling.   Strongest point in your ministry:  Being able to use two of the skills and training that I have (working with children and administration with adults) in a position that I love.   Most embarrassing moment in ministry:  Doing an object lesson in front of a large group and the flame, which is the key to the application, keeps going out.   General Description:  I love to laugh and working with children gives me many opportunities to do that.  Since I was a little girl my desire to be a teacher has been a strong one.  I'm grateful that the Lord has allowed me to fulfill that desire in a variety of ways, as an elementary school teacher, principal and now as the Children's Ministry Director. It is fun to be a part of a work that helps children get to know and deepen their relation with Christ as well as leading and supporting adults who teach them.     Something for Visitors to this site:  Thanks for taking the time to check us out!  We would love to get the opportunity to meet you and your children.  There are many ways here in which they can be involved with others their own age.  We have some wonderful people, young and old, who volunteer to work with kids and they truly love what they do. I invite you to stop by and see for yourself.
