The committee recognizes the numerous opportunities available to the congregation members to participate in mission trips and activities sponsored by worthy organizations and the willingness of Calvary Baptist Church members to participate in such events. Missions Committee funds shall only be expended to support events budgeted for and sponsored by Calvary Baptist Church. For participation in mission trips and activities not sponsored by Calvary Baptist Church, the Missions Committee shall review the doctrine of the sending organization and if acceptable, the Missions Committee may elect to endorse the event.   Sponsorship connotes missions efforts sponsored directly by CBC. It is our missions program as a local church. We are committed to serve the Lord, doing our part of fulfill the Great Commission.   Endorsement implies the committee's willingness to assist individuals raising support through providing promotional opportunities within the church.   A word about endorsement. The needs and opportunities around the nation and around the world today are endless. Our Missions Committee provides able leadership in developing a comprehensive plan of missions. The Committee prayerfully considers many opportunities annually and frequently reviews and re-evaluates our missions efforts. The Committee understands that individuals in the church will have ideas, burdens and opportunities which the Lord has laid on their hearts. In some instances they will want to share those with the congregation. To do that they must first request and secure endorsement for that missions effort. There is a form below to be filled out requesting endorsement or consideration for sponsorship.   What will endorsement accomplish?
