Welcome to CBC
Our doors are open to people from all cultures and backgrounds, regardless of where they are on their spiritual journey. Should you chose to visit us, we trust you will find a place where you are warmly welcomed and made to feel at home, even if you've never been to our church before. Our services are a blend of great music - A celebration of the joy and security discovered in getting to know Christ; of friendship - A closeness discovered in getting to know one another; and of spiritual development - A growth discovered in getting to know God through his Word.
Here at CBC we present the timeless truths of the Bible in a compelling, challenging and, yet, understandable way. Additionally, the staff, leadership and volunteers all work hard to make ours a safe environment for children, a challenging place for teens, a connecting atmosphere for adults and a respectful setting for seniors.
Finally, as a church our desire is for you to discover an ethnically and generationally diverse setting where ordinary people experience life together and are daily being transformed into Christ-centered members in the family of God. Once a member in the family, you will also be encouraged to join us as we unleash the compassion of Christ on needy and broken communities and, indeed, the world.
Join us soon, won't you?
In Christ Alone,
Victor L. Stanley, Lead Pastor

Our Philosophy
Our philosophy of ministry is rooted in the belief that every Christian is called by God to serve Him and is gifted by God to do so. Spiritual growth is a vital part of a person's preparation for effective service. Spiritual growth comes over time through studying God's word and applying it by faith to life's varied challenges. The key ways a local church can aid its members in spiritual growth is by providing vibrant Bible teaching, supportive relationships, and ministry opportunities.
Central to our philosophy of ministry is the "team concept." This is reflected in Jesus' choosing the Apostles and sending them out in pairs. It is also evident in Paul's missionary work and his instruction regarding plurality of elders for each church. So we serve the Lord in teams who pray, plan, and work together harmoniously. We learn to appreciate each team member's particular gifts and abilities.
Our History
Founded in 1953 as an independent Baptist church, Calvary has served the Woodbridge, Dale City, and Dumfries communities for over 50 years. Calvary has always had a commitment to the proclamation of the gospel of Jesus Christ and solid Bible teaching from the pulpit and in the classrooms. Due to the high concentration of military and government personnel in our area, people are constantly moving in and being transferred out. Calvary has eagerly sought to welcome new people and get them involved in the life of the church. Calvary has been very intentional in its commitment to diversity; reaching out to all peoples regardless of race or national origin.
Our Future
Calvary's future is bright as a cohesive congregation with a spirit of harmony and service. The leadership team (consisting of elders, deacons, and many laypersons) enjoys a good spirit and mutual respect and, over the years, has led the church in growth, expanded facilities and outreach. Being situated in a rapidly growing part of Prince William County in Northern Virginia means that the potential for outreach and growth is nearly unlimited.
